“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” Helen Keller

It's the eve of a new year and a new decade. Some use this time to make resolutions and goals for the next 12 months, others use it to reflect on where they are and where they want to be. Many of those resolutions center on getting in shape again; which is important, but maybe it's time to go about it differently. What if we started looking at health journeys as an adventure? Why not combine getting in shape with getting outside more? Instead of spending all your workout time inside a gym, spend some of it on a hike, trail running, or some other outdoor activity. It’s never too late to renew or find your appreciation for all things nature. You may discover that you are not only improving your health, but, by falling in love with wild places you are becoming an advocate for its health as well. Let’s face it, we selfishly need nature and nature needs us to be its advocate.

We love opting outside at Your True Nature, so we are going to spend part of 2020 encouraging you to do the same! We will share blogs from people who have found ways to combine their passions with nature. Whether it’s biking, photography, canoeing, or hiking; we hope to encourage you to use some of your precious time to opt outside. You may find new found motivation to knock some things off your bucket list or you might realize you have no more excuses to avoid spending time in nature. So, let’s make 2020 an amazing year of discovery and activity! The mountains, rivers, lakes, and the great outdoors are calling you and it’s time you answered! No matter how you look at it, a new year is bound to have some sort of adventure (wanted or unwanted), so embrace it!
